We love to perform, and people always comment on the happiness they feel at our performances. Upcoming... We will be performing new and old dances at nursing homes and shows in January and February, and getting ready for the festival season in the spring and yes, Artscape in the summer! Look for us at fairy and arts festivals, and please email Nina Amaya for information on how to bring us to your event. Care facilities and charities are eligible for reduced pricing for our performances!

Aubergine, formerly known as Belly Dance Delight, has been blessed to work with some great photographers, dancers and musicians! Triformis Photography has a working relationship with us; Tom's Photography, Ken Morrill,George Skepton and KB Harris have donated shots to our lovely cause. Dancers Naimah, Thalia, Jacquih, Masani, Linden, Typhrodisia have added their magic to our shows! We have danced to the live music of Ishtar, DragonSong, and collections of local and Arabic musicians at shows and festivals.

A word about Nina from troupe member Elliot:
Nina's accessible teaching style makes it possible for students to really grasp how to construct a pose, gesture, move, or entire choreography — for beginners as well as seasoned dancers. Her love of life and the arts is contagious, and her sense of adventure inspires her dancers to reach deep within themselves to attempt, accomplish, and master new skills.

Every July, we perform at Artscape, America’s largest free arts festival, Artscape features 150+artists, and for the last five years, our troupe!
Nina is pioneering the Art of Faerie Fusion Bellydance!
Aubergine, formerly the troupe known as Belly Dance Delight, performs (or has performed) at Baltimore's Flowermart, the Baltimore Museum of Art, Columbia's Slayton House, Artscape, Chesapeake Pride Festival, Riverfest, Faerie Festivals in Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland, nursing homes, for Red Hat events and Masonic orders, Parades, Belly Dance shows in restaurants, charity events, and private parties.... and now, the Smithsonian!
