Bahiya is known for her earthy style. Bahiya performs as a solo artist and as a member of the award winning dance troupe Tears of Aset, directed by Sitamun. Bahiya mesmerizes audiences with balancing specialty dances such as sword, tray and candles. Her repetoire includes Egyptian folk dances, Nubian, Raks Asaya (cane dance) and Turkish spoons, and Melaya Luff. She is known for her Shamedan performance. Bahiya is passionate about the continued study of Middle Eastern culture and dance. During 2010, she won 3rd Runner Up in the Masters Category of the Belly Dance Nationals competition. She is certified by the Aerobic and Fitness Associtation of America (AFAA) in Group Fitness and is a certified SharQui Instructor. She has performed since 2002 at the following venues: In the Streets (Frederick, MD), Annual Festival of the Arts (Frederick, MD), First Saturdays (Frederick, MD), Cultural Festival (Frederick, MD), Halloween Block Party (Brunswick, MD 2009 - 2010), FSK Mall Asian Festival as well as parivate parties and show cases.
