| Beginner Classes Beginner Belly Dance Classes with Egyptian Sun! Dates: Sundays, September 11 through December 4, 2011 (13 weeks) Time: 4-6pm Location: Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus, Mattin Center Dance Studio, corner of 33rd and N. Charles Sts. in Charles Village Come learn the art of belly dance, Egyptian Sun style! Ouranitsa teaches the beginner class for Egyptian Sun troupe, Baltimore's most diverse group of fun-loving belly dancers. Ouranitsa's approach to belly dance is grounded in clean technique infused with the joy of musical interpretation. This semester we will focus on beginner belly dance technique while informing ourselves about the culture from which this dance comes and about some specific rhythms this dance utilizes. You do NOT have to be a JHU student nor a JHU affiliate to take class. We are a unique assortment of dancers ages 12-60+ of all shapes, sizes, colors, and walks of life.
